RegmagiK Registry Editor

RegmagiK is fast and easy-to-use Registry Editor that provides more convenience in Registry search and modifications than standard Windows Registry Editor, regedit.exe. It is a great tool for advanced users. RegmagiK combines familiar user interface with a number of unique enhancements including fast search (all matches displayed in the search resuts pane in the bottom part of the window), drag and drop, desktop shortcuts to registry keys, address bar with autocomplete, automatic smart recognition of files and folders referenced by Registry values (one click opens Windows Explorer on file or folder referenced by Registry value), GUIDs (one click takes to definition of selected GUID) and one click integration with regedit.exe (on Windows XP and later Regedit automatically opens the key that was selected in RegmagiK).

You can download RegmagiK and use it for free for 31 days. If you like to keep using it please, order a license online. You will receive personalized license code that can be used on any number of computers. The price of single user license is $15. If you live in Europe you may need to add a sales tax.

RegmagiK runs on Windows XP, 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, 2003, 2008, Vista and Windows 7. You may need administrative access in order to edit some Registry keys. To edit some protected areas of the Registry on Vista and Windows 7, right click executable file and select "run as Administrator" from the pop-up menu.

New version 4.9.10.3 was released on January 20, 2012. Added logging feature for troubleshooting. To enable logging run regmagik.exe /log "c:\temp\RegmagiK.log.txt"

Version 4.9.10.2 was released on January 13, 2012. Fixed bug: loading Registry hive did not work when the hive with the same name is already loaded. Now the application automatically generates unique name for a new hive.

Version 4.9.10 was released on December 5, 2011. Fixed bugs: not showing some Registry values with large size data; improve address bar positioning.

Version 4.9.9.8 was released on October 25, 2011. New functionality include ability to copy selected values to Clipboard and past them into the text editor in .reg file format. Rebar enhancement: remember layout of the toolbar and address bar. Added Unicode support. If you experience any issues, please let me know.

Also the installer Microsoft Visual C++ 10.0 Redistributable will be downloaded only if it is not already installed on your PC. This reduced the size of the installer file.

Version 4.9.9.7 was released on July 18, 2011. Fixed problem when search includes 50,000 matches or more. Fixed scrollbar issue. Thanks to Douglas Shuck and Nigel Duncan for reporting these issues to me.

Version 4.9.9.3 was released on February 23, 2011 with new set of search commands. Try new Find it on the Web command available under Tools menu and as a toolbar button. This command helps you easily search for Registry Key on Googe.

Also improved support of Windows 7 and Vista operating systems. If you are using Windows 7 or Vista upgrade gives you enhanced Registry editing functionality (including Delete and Load/Unload Hive commands). Enhanced Delete automatically uses Take Ownership functionality, it is especially important when you use RegmagiK to find and delete invalid CLSIDs since Administrators do not have access to some CLSIDs in recent versions of Windows. You still need to use run as Administrator to get full permissions available to your user account when you need to edit protected Registry content.

Also starting with version 4.9.8.8 context-sensitive help is upgraded to HTML help.
